Payal Patel is a Nurse Practitioner who was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. She completed her undergraduate degree at Elmhurst University, earned a master’s degree from Olivet Nazarene University, and went on to achieve her doctorate degree from Capella University.

Prior to joining MDHN, Payal spent six years at a private gastroenterology practice, primarily focusing on general GI care. During this time, she also gained valuable experience in interventional gastroenterology, working in both outpatient and inpatient settings to deliver comprehensive care to her patients.

Payal believes “in building a positive rapport with patients from the very first interaction and treating each patient as an individual. Prevention and pro-activeness are words that I live by, therefore, my goal at MDHN is to help patients take active steps to either prevent disease or prevent the progression of the disease so that patients can live longer and have better long-term health outcomes."

Outside of work, Payal enjoys spending time with her family and friends, experimenting with new recipes, baking sweets, exploring new restaurants, traveling, and immersing herself in nature through outdoor activities.
