On the day of your procedure, we expect you to be with us for approximately 2-3 hours. During this time, you will be checked in by our anesthesia team, have the procedure(s) completed in 30-60 minutes, and recover from the sedation.
After your procedure, you will be taken to the recovery area to be monitored while the effects of sedation wear off. Recovery time may take 30-45 minutes depending on your response to the sedation. You may feel groggy from the sedation and will need someone to drive you home. Additionally, on the day of your procedure, you should not return to work, drive, or operate machinery or heavy equipment for the remainder of the day.
