Dr. Mukund Venu is a Wisconsin native and graduated from Saint Louis University, where he earned both his B.A. in History and Medical Degree. He completed his internal medicine residency training and gastroenterology and hepatology fellowship training at Medical College of Wisconsin. He also completed a visiting professorship at the Mayo Clinic.
Dr. Venu is a board-certified gastroenterologist who specializes in general gastroenterology, colon cancer screening, esophageal disorders, as well as endoscopy and colonoscopy procedures.
He is an active member of American Gastroenterological Association, where he serves on the
Nominating Committee, as well as the American College of Gastroenterology where he serves on the Practice Management Committee.
Dr. Venu feels that “practicing medicine is rewarding and being able to foster the patient-physician relationship in my own setting is what drew me to work at Midwest Digestive Health and Nutrition. I strive to cultivate treatment plans that suit an individual’s needs and goals and hope to improve my patient’s quality of life by working together.”
In Dr. Venu’s free time, he enjoys spending time with family, cooking, playing sports, and watching football.
